Faced with a tight deadline to disenfranchise, owners of ‘The Egg & I’ were in a scramble to rebrand, remodel, and rollout three (3) new breakfast restaurants in under 90 days. If a compressed timeline wasn’t challenge enough, each store must remain open 7 days per week throughout construction to maintain positive cash flow. This required graveyard shifts for production with 4 hours of cleaning each night, ready for breakfast service by 6am everyday. These stores were severely outdated with 20 year old glued carpets, outdated tech, water & natural gas leaks, and vagrant issues that all needed to be resolved on top of cosmetic and structural improvements.
Beyondigital kicked things off with a proper name search, arriving at AWAKE and a new logo within the first two weeks. We proceeded with floor plans and elevations, materials sourcing, then managed production throughout the project. We independently secured approvals from building and sign inspectors at city hall for ‘first-of-its-kind’ murals, moved walls to create open floor plans, and hand built displays and original artwork with heart. We hit all deadlines on time and under budget!
What you don’t see in these examples are the immersive audio visual experiences including a hand-curated AWAKE Spotify streaming soundtrack, and a 8+ hour video loop composed of extreme sports, hilarious bloopers, and the most viral content we could assemble. Awake features a singles bar complete with individual charge stations and fast public Wifi. Beyondigital even sourced and hand-finished a Crew boat that was modified into a 12′ light fixture. We obtained a first-issue liquor license to supply craft mimosas from proprietary recipes.
